Built in 1985, Kalavasos Dam is constructed on a seasonal river some 30km northeast of
Limassol just above Kalavasos village.
The dam embankment has a maximum height of 58 metres and a crest length of
approximately 700 metres providing a water storage volume of 17.1 million cubic
metres.
